Founded by Melanie Wagner in New York City, Matilda is the platform of the future.
When consulting for a variety of e-commerce initiatives, it was always a mission to find ways to sell more with the least amount of friction points. When trying on Donna Karan’s collection, I instantly gained admiration for her talent and her ability to really design for women’s bodies. She accentuates the best features of a women with her ruching and draping techniques, leaving the women feeling amazing when wearing her pieces. Online and on the hanger, did not do her pieces justice in 1-dimensional form. I realized that these environments did nothing to show the value in her product or for anyone’s. I quickly dove into developing a solve to the ultimate conversion moment with the best suited platform!
Naturally, I knew the platform of the future lived in the form of an everyday item, the mirror. Every morning in our routine, we use this device to reassess ourselves before we take on the world for the day. This is the most optimal moment for product and services to making everyone feel their best.
